I have a ring that Ive owned since 2006,I had a appraisal done at the time of purchase for my insurance company valued at $2500. I am recently unemployed and am looking to sell the ring, but just wondering if I should get it reappraised beings its been 6 years and the gem and gold market has changed since then. But the one store I stopped at wanted $75 to look at it. I was just wondering if the price may have changed so much that its worth the 75 to reappraise...I understand I wont be able to sell it at the appraised value but im not sure Its worth the $75 off the top when $$ is already tight for me.
